Palisades is a medium to coarse textured zoysia grass known for its drought tolerance. It is a highly dense turf that is used oftentimes for home lawns. One main reason Palisades Zoysia is used for homes is because of its low maintenance requirements. Because of its quick establishment rate and recuperative ability it is very wear tolerant and can be used in even some of the more trafficked home lawns.

Palisades Zoysia Sod is known to be a “friendly” grass due to its establishment rate. This means that it will root down and your lawn will grow and prosper quicker.

When is the best time to lay Palisades Zoysia sod?

March through October is the best time of year to install Zoysia, but it will take root in the other cooler months, too.

What's the rooting time for Palisades Zoysia?

Although sodding is much faster than the natural lawn seeding and growing process, it isn't instantaneous. Technically, once it s been installed, sod should begin to take root within 10-14 days. And with the right balance of sun, air, and water, your sod will fully take root in 2-6 weeks.

When will my lawn be ready to mow?

Mow within 10 days of installation and bag clippings for the first few mowings. New installations are often uneven and care should be taken not to “scalp” any high spots.
